Canna Picasso has bright yellow flowers with deep red leopard-like spots. The foliage is bluish green. Cannas are best started in growth indoors January to April and planted out after mid May when the fear of frosts have passed. Cannas are exotic, spectacular looking plants and can be used as a centre piece in the garden or containers. Cannas need to be well watered during the growing season and also fed with tomatoe feed or rose fertiliser. Protect or lift them during the winter period as they are not winter hardy.
