Crinums are exceptionally large bulbs and produce stout stems upto 3 foot tall with 8 to 12 pink flowers per stem. Easy to grow, but prefer a sunny well drained position. They are also ideal to grow in containers as they can then be left undisturbed for many years. Plant bulbs with the top just showing and of course in a large enough pot to allow good root growth.
One of our favourites, which has also been awarded a garden merit (AGM) by the RHS, have a go as you will really enjoy the showy flowers.
Tip; Work well in containers.
AGM = Award Garden Merit
Aspect: Sunny positions in the garden.
Soil Type: Free draining soils that do not get waterlogged over winter.
