Gladioli callianthus (Acidanthera) AGM

Highly scented and  commonly known as Acidanthera the flowers are in our opinion are very underestimated for the impact they can make in gardens. The flowers are white and star shaped with mahogany eyes. Sweet scented and excellent for use as a cut flower. Very popular and easy to grow. They work really well in containers although they are also very suited for the borders of the garden that sit in sun most of the day.

We recommend that you plant in groups of 5 or more to get the best effect. When flower spikes are 15cms tall add a high potash fertiliser such as bone meal.

AGM = Award of Garden Merit.

Ideal for cut flower.

Aspect: Full sun to semi shade.

Soil type: Fertile well drained soils
