Red and yellow flowers spikes make Far West a great addtion to the garden and also ideal for planting in borders or amongst herbaceous plants. Gladioli like richly manured soil. Gladioli can be left in the ground to naturalise for a number of years, producing flowers each year. In poor soils they will need to be fed with something like bone meal durng the flowering period. Mulching overwinter is also favourable for a bit of added proptection.
Plant 10cm deep in soil that is fertile and well drained. We recommend that you plant in groups of 5 or more to get the best effect. When flower spikes are 15cms tall add a high potash fertiliser such as bone meal.
