Pendula begonias are ideal for hanging baskets and taller containers where the stems can hang down and provide a great display of colour. We find that a large 6/+cm tuber is the best for a summer of colour. Plant tubers in a 50/50 mix of multi-purpose compost and John Innes number 2 or similar. Can be started off in protected greenhouses from January onwards and planted out when the fear of frosts has gone in early April.
Pendula begonias are ideal for hanging baskets or containers where they can hang down showing their cascade of flowers. Begonias flower for a long period and as such are a must in every summer flowering display.
