Tulip Darwin Hybrid Hot Honey Rag

Hot Honey Rag is a new variety which has red petals trimmed with pale lemon. Before planting the soil should be cultivated to a depth of 25cms and well rotted compost or grit added to provide drainage in heavier soils. Plant 10-15cms deep and in groups of 20 or more for the best effect. Tulips prefer to be planted in soils that are cooler which is normally October although if the timimngs do not work for you it is better to have them planted. Late flowering tall tulips like darwin hybrids work really well with Camassia and Alliums to bring a wealth of colour to the garden.
