Dodecatheon are commonly called Shooting Stars. They have very attractive stems of several cyclamen-like flowers. Grows well in the shade. This variety produces flowers that are a deep rose pink with a white base. It can produce up to 20 flowers on one stem. They can be left to naturalise in the soil from year to year. Cultivate soils to a depth of 15cms and plant roots 5cms deep.
Tip: Start off in containers and plant out when you can see some good growth.

Soil type: free draining soils that are slightly acid.
