Single Early tulip are amongst the earliest to flower so a superb welcome to the oncoming spring. Purple Prince was first registered in 1987 this single early tulip holds its place in our range very easily. Purple Prince as the name suggests produces flowers that are lilac purple flame, with the inside of the flower a beetroot red. Can be grown in tubs, pots or formal bedding displays and will perform really well. Soils should be free draining and cultivated to a depth of about 25cms. In heavier soils add grit or well rotted humus to the soil and mix in well. Plant tulips 10 to 15cms deep and 10cms apart. In containers the distance apart can be reduced to 5cms. Plant in groups of 10 or more for the best effect.
