One of the earliest of the tall fritillaria's to flower, Raddeana has magnificent pale yellowish green flowers which appear in March/April on flower stems 60-80cm tall. The flower stems of the taller fritillarias are also quite a feature of these varities. They prefer the sunny areas of the garden that do not dry out in the growing season. Leave to naturalise for many years and will work really when planted with sultry coloured tulips or alternatively the taller alliums and eremurus. An excellent choice for the garden as it is really outstanding. Fritillarias are quite easy to grow and will naturalise extremely well.
