A real winner, heavy yields of purple skinned, orange fleshed roots with resistance to club root and mildew. A good source of vitamins A, B and C. Start seeds off in a seed tray and plant out biggest ones when the weather warms up. Alternatively plant direct into well cultivated soils. Make a channel approximately 1.5cms deep and sprinkle the seeds into this and then cover them over. Thin out to 10 cms apart once the seeds become established. Harvest when big enough to eat.
Aspect: Full sun to partial shade
Soil type: Soils that are fertile and free draining
Harvest: October onwards
