One of the most popular varieties, with long tapering roots with very little core and excellent sweet flavour. A good source of energy boosting carbohydrates. Parsnips should be grown in well cultivared soils which if possible are dug to a depth of 30+ cms as this will allow the root to mature and grow. Do not plant in recently manured soils as that can sometimes burn the tender roots as they establish.
Aspect: Full sun if possible.
Soil type: Free draining soils that have been well cultivated as deeply as possible.
