United States will produce really elegant flowers on stems of 25cms. This dwarf tulip has flowers with an exterior flamed on fire-red, feathered to the edges on buttercup yellow. The flower shape is eye catching and these tulips are more often than not used in container or rockery planting although when planted in formal displays of 20 or more bulbs they do really make an impact. Soils should be cultivated to a depth of 20cms or more if possible and be free draining and fertile. In heavier soils add grit and or well rotted humus to help with drainage and fertility. Plant bulbs 10-15cms deep and 8cms apart. In containers the planting distance can be reduced to 5cms.
Aspect: Semi shade to full sun
